in a political ad, is the bin laden an extension of that. >>clayton: giuliani was criticizing for referencing 9/11 all the time "bold leadership." and it was knocked on the daily show. it crosses the threshhold when you say, yes, you are a decisive president. you made the choice. wouldn't others make that choice. >>dave: it is a tremendous reach to suggest that any other presidential candidate, anyone in the white house, wouldn't have made the same decision. ron paul probably would have pulled the trigger on that given the information and the evidence that we had to suggest that mitt romney, who is more hawkish than any other candidate not race that he would not. >>clayton: but we don't know so to put that in an ad, senator john mccain said it best, saying this yesterday, shame on president obama for diminishing the memory of help -- 9/11 who
3:05 am
said after osama bin laden was dead we would not spike the ball and now he is trying to score political points by invoking osama bin laden doing a shameless end zone dance to get re-elected. it doesn't seem like something president obama would do. >>dave: let alone bill clinton who did not get bin laden himself. >>alisyn: but on the flip side, charles krauthammer thinks it is okay for president obama to remind people of a bold decision he made. he thinks that's totally fair game. however, where he thinks it crosses the line is trying to get into romney's head. this is krauthammer on "special report." >> there is a lot wrong with this ad. there is nothing wrong with a president making a positive ad saying i did this. it was risky. i'm commander in chief.
